Today more than ever post production professionals are required to deliver high quality creative output with diminishing budgets and tight deadlines. Our Final Cut Pro and Avid training courses are designed to give you the fast track towards employability and productivity. Our courses include multi-format delivery for platforms including tape, youtube, web streaming, dvd and blu-ray. Attending Purple Mouse training can reduce time consuming render time by as much as 80% and reduce hard drive usage significantly. With the exception of discounted corporate training assignments we endeavour to restrict our courses to 2 students per course to ensure maximum personal attention and teach at a pace that is in line with our student's level of experience and expectations.
About our instructor.
Michael Kruger has a broadcast editing career spanning 16 years, starting out as a tape editor and later transferring his skills to training after certifying as an Avid Certified Instructor in Hollywood in 2001. In February 2004 Michael attended Train-the-Trainer at Apple©, Santa Monica Calif. and attained Final Cut Pro Certified Pro and Final Cut Pro Certified Instructor status and has recertified his status as a Pro Apps Instructor with subsequent releases of FCP versions 5, 6 and 7.
Previous training assignments include broadcasters in the Cape, filmakers in the Okhavongo and vidoe makers in Mombasa and Saudi Arabia. Michael has also lectured at AFDA, Rhodes Dept of Journalism and Durban University of Technology. When time allows freelance editing assignments are undertaken.

Course hours are 09h00 - 16h00. We are based in Fourways, Johannesburg. Snacks are served during the 20 min lunch break at 12h30.
